Quick Snap: Green Tea Boba

Sorry about the absence. I've been so busy lately!
Anyway, I had time to go shopping at some of my favorite stores and grab some awesome boba (bubble) tea. I love the green tea version the most, even though I wish I had gotten mango...

Excuse the lack of a good manicure....

My Week In Pictures: Forever21 and FroYo

Yes, I'm still here!

I just finished the first week back to school from spring break. I spent a lot of the time on spring break shopping... running... and sleeping (Sound like every teenage girl ever?). I don't want to be in school again...
save me

Please excuse the overly posed, blurry self-shot of me with no makeup on.

I loved the dress, but the small was too big and there's wasn't an XS (Petite girl discrimination!). It's such a sweet mix of bohemian and vintage, with the mint dot print and the flowy high-low skirt. Not well pictured is the cute structured bodice, which is supposed to look like a bustier (but doesn't have the same support).

Maqui Berry Tart FroYo from Yogurt Land with cherries, strawberries and rainbow sprinkles.
I love Yogurt Land, partly because of the yummy sorbet-like flavors and partly because of the proximity to my dentist's office. Is that irony?
My only problem with Yogurt Land is the lack of popping boba. Seriously, that stuff is my world. The burst of flavor is like the reward for popping all the little squishy bubbles between your teeth. Not that popping them is a chore, it's addictive in it's own right.... enough about FroYo. For now.

Quick Snap: Pink Floyd Earbuds

I was at the Old Navy buying some cute braided belts when, by the register, I saw some ridiculously awesome ear buds. They have three different styles: Michael Jackson's "Bad" album, Nirvana's iconic smiley face logo, and Pink Floyd (pictured).

This style was my favorite. The ear buds feel like metal, and are really nice in person. I love the retro look and the album cover on the sides, plus, they were $10. I didn't end up buying them, but they were pretty cool.
See those shoes? Funny enough, they're also from Old Navy! You would think I shop there all the time, but I really don't. The sizes aren't right for my shape (petite and a little curvy).
Anyway, the shoes are the only sneakers I own, and they are so cute. They are comfy and good for running errands the day after high heels (Trust me), and they fit my size 5 1/2 feet although they are a six.
(Psst: They're on sale at Old Navy right now for ~$17.)

Black on Black + Tights Hack

I know, I know. No black, I said. Too dreary, I said. Well, the truth is there's a lot of black left in my closet, and when this look struck me it was mostly out of necessity.
The focus of this post is the tights, so there isn't much of the whole outfit. I'll be doing an OOTD later when I get ready for the party I'm going to.

Are you guys ready for an awesome hack for tights?
I discovered it this morning when I put on this dress (Shirt? maybe) and discovered that it was really short (Shirt? probably. I'm short. I can do this). I needed to wear shorts underneath it, but all my shorts are jean shorts, which made the dress look bulky and weird. The solution?

Cut a pair of tights.
It works really well. Cut them about the length of your knee and scrunch them up until they're around your upper thigh or around the hem of your skirt/dress. And with the two leg/foot parts left over? Use them as knee high socks!

(About the quality of the photos: My regular camera needs batteries, so I was stuck with my old back up. Hopefully I'll have my camera ready for tonight when I get ready, so I can get some decent pictures)

Starting with a List

Did you know spring starts in seven days?

Suddenly as the cold weather melts into sun and warmth, we look into our closets and realize there's nothing to wear. I looked into my closet this past week and just had no idea what to do. When your closet is a mass of black sweaters and grey jeans, spring seems so far away.

I have a week and a half left until I go back to school, and I intend to make the most of that time. There's all my favorite stores with new spring collections to go binge shop in: Forever 21, Pacsun, Hollister, Abercrombie and Fitch... and, I went to J.C. Penney's yesterday expecting the same frumpy attire, but oh my god you guys. It looks incredible in there. I don't know if they got completely new brands or what, but everything is shiny and white and super colorful. It looks really nice.

I got two shirts on sale (!!), including a purple lace tank top and a white lace cami-crop top. Sense a pattern there? I'm loving lace for spring.

So, with that, here are my Top Trends for Spring:

○ Lace
○ Faded Denim
○ Pastel Florals
○ Brown Leather Accents
Tall Socks

Expect pictures. A lot.
