Fast Food Review: Wendy's Berry Almond Salad (Without Chicken)

Another fast food salad I had recently was the Berry Almond Salad (no chicken: ask for it without) from Wendy's. Above is the half order, with a fork for size comparison.

I really liked this salad. Overall, it was crunchy, salty, sweet and flavorful. The texture of the almonds and the flavor of the dressing mixing with the nutty cheese was the best part. The salad was typical fast food iceberg lettuce, with a few cut up strawberries and a few blueberries, which weren't too flavorful but were fresh and nice overall.

I didn't like the dressing, or to be exact, a lot of it. A little bit paired nicely with the cheese and almonds. The problem with the vinaigrette (which was raspberry, by the way) was that it tasted like SYRUP. It was overly sweet and honestly tasted like flavored sugar water! So don't go dumping the whole packet over your salad, unless you love the taste of fruity sugar on your foods.

Overall score (1-10): I give it a 7. It was very unique, so a nice salad for a change of pace. The dressing and iceberg lettuce drags down the score.

Fast Food Review: Taco Bell's New Veggie Cantina Bowl

Last week I went to Tennessee with my family. While I was there, I ate more fast food than I have in a long time due to traveling, going out with family etc. After a day of shopping with my Grandma, she took me to a place I had only been once before: Taco Bell.
Let's set the record straight: I don't like Taco Bell. The food is fattening and greasy, there are practically no sides to get there, and this was the only salad I could see that wasn't surrounded by fried taco shell. But this salad bowl was... dare I say it, good!

It has salad, salsa, corn and a spicy dressing over rice and black beans. I took the guacamole off, because it's typically not very good at fast food places. I thought the flavors went well together! It was a nice change of pace, although a TON of food. Be prepared to eat half and take the rest home.

Food specifications: Vegetarian (Not Vegan: Contains Egg and Milk)

Scoring (1-10, 10 being best): I give it a 7. It was above average for a fast food salad, but reheated later, it tastes bad (and the portion size means you either have to reheat later or toss).

Site Changes and New Name!

Hello Lovelies!

So with my absence came a realization to me about what I really find important, and what are the most important aspects in my life. Yes, fashion and shopping are a big part of my life. But when you can't find much time to go shopping, and have other things in your life going on, you can't maintain a blog about it.

That's why I wanted to switch things up to a topic that involves me every day.

What is it?

It's healthy living. I'm obsessed with healthy food, and I want to share my recipes and stories with you all! I'm planning on writing food reviews, posting recipes and pictures that are relevant to the subject. And, don't worry, I'll still be blogging about fashion and clothes, but this blog makeover will be a way for me to always have new post content! It's time to expand!

So why Chai Pink?

Because I love pink, as you know, and I love tea as well. I thought it was fitting for a health blog run by me! It combines healthy food (Chai Tea) with pink, representing the fashion aspect of my blog.

What should I know about Chai Pink?

It is catered to those who prefer to eat vegetarian, pescatarian, raw and vegan foods because those are the foods I am most interested in. I'm a pescatarian, but about half of the meals I eat are vegan, and I love raw food.

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoy!
